Jointed Cogbot
thingiverse
I've uploaded this file, it's my miniature desktop robot which I modelled after a robot I had downloaded and printed at the Maker Fair but unfortunately, it failed due to all the joints fusing together so I designed my own that could be printed in parts for assembly and separate joint operation. To print accurately, recommend using supports only on components other than the body. Please note that you may need to sand the rods or enlarge the pinholes depending on your printer; with some adjustments, glue isn't necessary and pins fit perfectly by clicking into place - this applies specifically to the head and arms. Download these steps: Firstly, print the robot's body followed by printing the support pins. Subsequently, move to printing the legs then attach them as follows: feet secure to shins, connect shins to upper leg, finish by linking upper legs to body via the large pin. To assemble arms begin with attaching hands at wrists to thinnest rods before working up through upper arm parts secured with matching pins and conclude this assembly sequence by linking these arms in with a straightforward push-fit. Head and body assembly takes another simple push fit where everything securely snaps into place without need for any adhesive - simply slot and lock in position. Lastly, just connect the small control unit located discreetly on back and press in until secure, then that is complete
