Insert new pen refills first, then secure them by wedging a stick firmly into the middle of the splice joint to lock each part securely in place. To separate the pens, simply pull out the stick from its locked position in the middle and divide the two pens smoothly apart. Alternatively, you can place the stick into one end's hole while using both pens for convenient writing and drawing.
