The screws used in this joint can be flush or almost flush.Depending on the laser used the countersinking may need to be done manually, very easy with a countersink cutter. Take care with the depth. The bolt does not touch the V in the opposing plate It only contacts at the nut.To use I simply copy the 3D solids into the working drawing and add the green part to the edge of the plate then subtract the red parts from the plates. You have to be careful to keep them aligned. Constrain your AutoCad to ortho moves.The slot cutter is 0.01mm oversize this will create an almost tight fit with minimal cleaning up before assembly. Note the cookie cutters in red for the joint.I have used this joint in a project and it worked well.
