This is My Second Part: Box with Tongue-Groove Joint This project is my second part and I've created a box with a tongue-groove joint that's completely customizable to meet your needs. With this design, you can easily create an organizer for screws/nuts or electronic parts, as well as any other items you may need. The base file is available in OpenSCAD format, but I also include some STL examples so you can easily work with the files. If you're interested in learning how to customize and modify the design, please keep reading below. How This Was Designed This project was created using OpenSCAD 2015.03-2, a powerful open-source CAD software that's perfect for creating custom 3D designs. \n Customization Options To customize this design and create STL files for each box, you'll need to modify the following parameters: * // Base Length: bl = 30; This should be at least 20mm. * // Base Height: bh = 12; This will determine the external height of your box. * // Box Multiplications: mx = 1 and my = 2; Specify how big you want each single box to be by multiplying a basic box size. When designing outer boxes, it's usually best to disable tongues or grooves. You can turn off any of these features by setting the relevant parameter to False. For example: * // Tongue Elements: xt = true; Disable the tongue feature for all three axes. * // Groove Elements: xg = true and yg = true; If you want no grooves, set both parameters to False.
With this file you will be able to print Joinable boxes with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Joinable boxes.
