Johnson Solid nr 1 to 17
thingiverse
Human: I've got a fresh list of solids to design, and this time I'm determined to bring all 92 of them to life in 3D. I won't be printing them out (there are 92 in total), but please include a picture with the number of solid you do print. These designs will be published across multiple files, each one titled: Johnson Solid nr (with the numbers listed in this post). Norman Johnson first introduced his comprehensive list of solids back in 1966, assigning names and numbers to each shape. He didn't prove that there were only 92, but he made a strong case for it, and Victor Zalgaller confirmed his theory in 1969. Here's the list: Jn1: The Square Pyramid Jn2: The Pentagonal Pyramid Jn3: The Triangular Cupola Jn4: The Square Cupola Jn5: The Pentagonal Cupola Jn6: The Pentagonal Rotunda Jn7: The Elongated Triangular Pyramid Jn8: The Elongated Square Pyramid Jn9: The Elongated Pentagonal Pyramid Jn10: The Gyreelongated Square Pyramid Jn11: The Gyreelongated Pentagonal Pyramid Jn12: The Triangular Bipyramid Jn13: The Pentagonal Bipyramid Jn14: The Elongated Triangular Bipyramid Jn15: The Elongated Square Bipyramid Jn16: The Elongated Pentagonal Bipyramid Jn17: The Gyreelongated Square Bipyramid
