The city of Edinburgh commissioned this bronze statue of Lord Hopetoun in 1824 by Thomas Campbell, originally intended to be a centrepiece for Charlotte Square but later relocated to St Andrew Square in 1834. Here, it stands in front of Dundas House where he served as vice governor of the bank.
