A memorial bust of John F. Kennedy stands proudly on London's Marylebone Road in England, situated to the west of Great Portland Street underground station. The sculptor Jacques Lipchitz created this stunning work, which was unveiled by Robert F. Kennedy, the subject's brother, on May 15th, 1965. A bronze bust sits atop a pedestal made of polished black granite. An adjacent plaque reads: This presidential bust by American sculptor Jacques Lipchitz was unveiled on May 15th, 1965 by his brother Senator Robert Kennedy. Over 50,000 Sunday Telegraph readers subscribed for this memorial in amounts limited to £1. The unique cast bust stands as a testament to the artist's skill. Another identical bust of John F. Kennedy created by Jacques Lipchitz was installed on November 11th, 1965 in Military Park, Newark, New Jersey, United States. This second bust was temporarily removed for repair in August 2017 after being vandalized.
