This spacer is designed specifically for the John Deere LA105 rider mower, which features adjustable cutting deck heights on both sides. To utilize this unique feature, you'll need to print two spacers in total. The purpose of these spacers is to elevate the cutting deck height beyond its standard setting, allowing you to achieve a more precise cut. For optimal results, I recommend using PETG filament instead of PLA due to Florida's high temperatures. PETG possesses superior strength and exhibits minimal warping compared to PLA. Additionally, PETG features holes for screw installation, accommodating either 5mm or slightly larger screws, as well as nuts if desired. To enhance structural integrity, I employed a 100% fill setting during printing. When printing this spacer, ensure that the support material is strategically placed underneath the screw holes to prevent them from becoming misshapen upon removal. With these spacers in place, you can enjoy a cutting deck height of approximately 5 inches and 4 inches.
