John Deere Double-groove sheave for 260 Deg chute rotation

This is a double groove sheave to be used on the older John Deere 47" 2752M dual-stage snowblower or the newer John Deere HD commercial dual-stage snowblowers (green color) to achieved 260 deg chute rotation by replacing the two original sheaves on the middle of the mechanism... You will need to get some longer steel cable (same size of original) as cable re-routing is required. See pics for cable routing. You need to press fit (or Super Glue) a 1/2" copper pipe coupler in the middle of the sheaves (2) to be used as sleeves. The couplers is the portion that will make contact with the center binding post. I use Metal Clothesline Clips to secure the steel cables on the end posts as shown on the pictures. You can use some "Galvanized Hanger Strap" (See last pics) to tie down your cable ends to the end shafts as this will allow for your plastic cover to fit properly. Also, I designed those sheaves with a slightly bigger diameter in order to achieve maximum chute rotation angle. The plastic cover should fit back on the chute mechanism without modifications. Make sure to slowly test the increased chute rotation to confirm that the bottom of the chute housing doesn't rub against the plastic cover. This is my 3rd winter with this mod and it is still rock solid.
