John Deere 1 series tractor seat belt stop
thingiverse
If you own a John Deere 1 series TLB or FILB tractor like me, you'll likely find the seat belt setup frustrating and annoying to deal with. When you leave them up and tighten them down, you can't turn the seat around easily. But if you leave them loose, they tend to flop around and cause damage to your fenders and levers inside your tractor. So, the trick is to adjust the seat belts just right - loosen them enough so they can move around freely without falling off, but tight enough that they stay in place. The problem is that over time, these adjustments come loose again, and you're back where you started, with a frustrating seat belt setup. That's why I came up with a solution to fix this issue for good. These specialized stops slide right onto the seat belt bracket, allowing you to bolt the seat belt through them safely. The 180° flat edge on these stops prevents the seat belt from rotating unnecessarily, which means you'll need slightly longer bolts to secure it properly. Alternatively, you can simply turn your nylon lock nut around and thread a washer onto it to achieve the same result - a free-moving seat belt that won't damage your tractor or get in the way of turning the seat around. The best part? You can still use your seat belt if you want to! I found these stops to be a bit tricky to install, as one side slid on easily while the other required some force. This might be due to variations in the metal bracket itself or differences in paint thickness on the bracket. Nevertheless, they fit my 1025r TLB perfectly fine. These custom stops are designed with trial and error in mind, so only time will tell if this fix is effective or not.
