This 3D model originated from Sketchup 8 and seamlessly transitioned into other formats afterwards. Its native format is .skp, with 3dsmax scene rendered using 3ds Max 2016 version, and Vray 3.00 for visuals. Celebrating a milestone of reaching MY 100th MODEL, I chose to bestow you with something truly remarkable! It's undeniable that Sir Frank Lloyd Wright is renowned and revered in the world of art. Although many users have shared models based on his designs, none of them had this particular house until now. Built in 1940, this stunning abode stands proudly atop a hill overlooking Lake Mendota in Wisconsin. What makes it remarkable isn't just its setting but also its unique construction methods featuring stone counterforts and diagonal ship-lap siding. Notice the intriguing ceiling height – a mere 6'9 on the first floor and a tad higher at 7'6 on the second floor. To bring this vision to life, I relied on Sir Frank's original sections, scaled floor plans, and photographs scoured from the internet. It has undergone minor transformations over time, but I aimed to depict it as visitors see today. Observe the stone-lined reveal, carport, basement rafters, and yes – even the notoriously low ceilings! Upstairs lies three cozy bedrooms, complete with built-in beds, and a bathroom that rounds out this retreat. The living room boasts an eye-catching feature – origami chairs modeled by Jeff Myers (JATdesigns), who kindly lent his expertise to create these unique pieces, which have since become integral to the space's charm.
