I revised the John 3:16 RBS rev c to include extra bracing so that it did not need support when 3d printed. I also removed one brace that was a problem with that rev. The marbles and the track will probably need to be lightly sanded so that the marbles do not bounce off the track. I found it useful to roll the marble between the fingers to find bumps that need to be sanded. Running your finger over the track will help find bumps that need to be sanded. The marbles still bounce down the track and like to fly off sometimes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G3nHviwY5G4 The older model can be found here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:64764 It took me about 5 hours to print. Raft was used but no supports were used when I printed it. NEW AND IMPROVED!: I've made a shallower version and it seems to work better. The marbles on the shallower version are slightly smaller so that they ride lower within the track. This all works to keep the marbles on the track better. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YVmglPX6n9chttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-qTmpfNkaGA I hope you enjoy it! https://www.shapeways.com/product/A569FNM2Q/rbs-john-3-16-rev-ds-rolling-ball-sculpture-marble?optionId=61912451 Print Settings Printer: Geetech MeCreator2 Rafts: Yes Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 15% Post-Printing Lightly sand Sand the marbles and track to get rid of bumps that will cause the marble to bounce off the track. How I Designed This scripting The original track was built with a script I made. I then took the model into tinkercad and added additional bracing to avoid needing to print with supports.
