This statue is located in Augsburg downtown and shows one of the less famous members of the well known Fugger Familiy. Known for their wealth and trading skills, Johann Jakob (1516 – 1575) was the only fugger family member who dedicated his life to science and arts. He did this in an extent, he even went bankrupt in 1564 an therefore can be seen as some kind of “black sheep” of the famous Fugger dynasty. Photogrammetry test shoot with poor detail on head and shoulders. We will return to this huge statue with a ladder soon ;) Bronze statue of Johann (Hans) Jakob Fugger, located in Augsburg downtown, features one of the lesser-known members of the renowned Fugger Family.
