Johan, hammer wielding ranger (32mm scale)

We at Ill Gotten Games are huge fans of the Vintage RPG Podcast, and after their generous shout out to us last episode, I felt compelled to design a miniature of John Hambone McGuire's first D&D character, Johan, the hammer-wielding ranger from his youth. If you haven't checked it out yet, Hambone and Stu (Horvath, from unwinnable.com) do a weekly podcast where they discuss tabletop games and delve deep into RPGs old and new. Their latest episode is about Spelljammer, which is definitely worth listening to. This all stems from Stu's excellent Instagram feed, which offers insightful reads for anyone interested in the history and current state of tabletop roleplaying games. We're proud to be supporting them on Patreon, and we encourage you to check out what they're doing and consider throwing them some support if you enjoy their content as much as we do. On the topic of Johan, "the Silent Thunder," I know it might seem silly at first (and yes, it's a bit ridiculous), but I personally love the idea. This mysterious ranger protects the forest from intruders by sneaking up and delivering devastating two-handed hammer blows. It's way cooler than your average bow or dual-wielded longsword/dagger combo.
