Joels "High Five" Spoolholder
myminifactory
I'm excited to share my entry for the 3D contest by Joel Telling, aka 3D Printing Nerd. I kept things simple with the design, but used some clever tricks in Fusion360 to minimize material usage. Maybe there are even easier ways to achieve this, though! My model features a fun "High Five" hand on the front. Unfortunately, I won't be printing it myself - my printer just isn't large enough to handle it. The main curve should pose no issues, thanks to a 45° chamfer that eliminates any sharp edges. As long as your printer has decent bridging capabilities, the spool arm should also work seamlessly. Using this design is a breeze: simply hang it from one of the top wood shelves and let the bottom rest against the lower shelf. Easy peasy! @MatterHackers @MyMiniFactory @3DPrintingNerd
