Jocholos Filament Drybox / Holder
thingiverse
Most filaments demand to be kept dry. The DIY information you need to build your own filament drybox, which stores your filament and also can be used directly as a filament holder, is outlined below. To construct this drybox, in addition to the 3D printable parts available for download here, you will require the following components: + An off-the-shelf air-tight cereal box (approximately 25 cm H x 22 cm L x 8 cm, 4 l) + Two standard skateboard ball bearings 608 (8 mm x 22 mm x 7 mm) + An off-the-shelf inexpensive thermo-hygrometer (48 mm x 28.6 mm) + A 4 mm M6 push-connector for the PTFE-tube + Nine Torx M5 screws, each 10 mm in length + Approximately 50 ml of silica gel (which will keep things remarkably dry) Note that the container I used had an asymmetrical shape; therefore, the inner brackets come at a slight angle. New roll design: Following GiolliJokers' comment, I have incorporated my older design for the roll, which consists of three parts and prints much faster.
