JMC Red Dwarf

The JMC Red Dwarf fan wanted to make their own version of the original ship. They added a different rear section with multiple engines, but made a few modifications since they weren't sure if it would fit properly and could be adjusted later. Their print was separate, so they're not sure how the combined full ship would print, but it may work in 3 parts. The sides panels are all the same, so you can mix and match whatever sides you want. They added a few photos to show how the rear brace and internal braces work, and used spare 1.75 filament between the front scoop braces as extra pipe work. You can see this in the photos. The slope details are mostly domes and lines to add extra effect to the front and rear of the panels if you want more detail. There's also "pipe work" fittings so you can run filament across to different areas without drilling holes. The total ship length is 44cm if printed at 100%. The fan printed most parts with a .2 layer size and 10% infill on most parts to speed up printing, taking around 4 hours+. Each nose cone took about 13 hours each plus other bits turned into quite a big print. If you have any other questions, the fan will try to answer them. They made an edit on July 19th to remove a small box protruding from side 6 and noticed that the complete ship file had rocks internal which they removed ASAP. On July 20th, they uploaded a new complete ship file as the old one had rocks internals and would waste filament if printed. They adjusted a few things that weren't lined up and added Stand and photo of my stand. The fan's print had someone else's logo, but their uploaded STL stand has been removed to avoid any 'remix' complications. Their stand is a little different, so let them know if it sits 'funny'. On July 28th, they tried to upload a new complete ship file, but because Thing Verse has been temperamental, the complete ship STL was corrupted and will keep checking and try to get it working again.
