The PLA's JL-2 "Giant Wave" is a second generation submarine-launched ballistic missile, succeeding the JL-1; it's a three-stage solid fueled variant of the DF-31 land based missile. Launched for the first time in 2005, this weapon can carry either single or multiple independently targetable reentry vehicle (MIRV) payloads over a range of up to 8,000 kilometers. The JL-2's design features a three stage assembly and clamshell nosecone, with a MIRV 4 payload bus system. The model, originally designed in TrueSpace6.6, has been converted for use in Blender 2.66a, and can be exported in formats such as cob, blender, 3ds, obj, dxf, direct x, dae, fbx.
