JJ-CCR Hud protector

JJ-CCR Hud protector

My design for a protective housing for the JJ was born out of necessity when my own Hud stopped functioning during transportation. To prevent this from happening again, I created a compact box that securely stores and safeguards the Hud while it's being transported. For added convenience, I designed this little enclosure as a single piece, eliminating the need for extra screws. It prints without support, making it easy to produce. I used PoliMaker's high-strength Polycarbonate (PC-Max) material to ensure maximum durability. Initially, I printed the prototype using PETG, which surprisingly held up very well despite being a relatively new material for me. However, upon further testing, I discovered that the 3mm thickness was prone to breaking. In response, I updated the design to use 5mm thickness instead, significantly improving its strength and resilience. The new version is denoted as v20. UPDATE: To further enhance the design, I've added guides to prevent the Hud from shifting around inside the box and inadvertently activating any buttons. This modification ensures that the Hud remains securely locked in place and won't accidentally turn on during transport. The updated version, now at v25, features a 5mm thickness and includes a protective HUD blocker to safeguard against unexpected power-ups.
