Jiose J500 label printer pegboard mount
prusaprinters
I have tried a number of different inexpensive thermal label printers, and the one I've settled on as my favorite is the Jiose J500. It's among the cheapest, and it has usable CUPS driver support for Ubuntu Linux! Having recently acquired a second printer so I can have multiple label sizes queued up and ready to go, I decided it was time to make a compact, space-efficient mount.Taking some inspiration from this pegboard mount by CDoucet, I made a mount that would permit full operation of the printer while affixed to the wall. Clips press into the main mount body, and just grip the outside plastic shell of the printer sufficiently to keep it secure while still enabling full operation of the lid and across label sizes. A module holder slots securely into the top, with options both for a simple spool holder that works with all of the roll labels I have on hand, as well as a tray feeder that works with flat-folded 4x6" labels. Finally, there are accommodations to securely mount all the wiring necessary for printer operation, including a space to shove the power brick, and attachment points for cable ties to keep everything tidy. The whole thing mounts nicely to pegboard using my pegboard rivets, or you can use the countersunk holes to screw it directly into wood.
