Jimbo the Robot
thingiverse
I aimed to design a highly poseable action figure that could be effortlessly and dependably printed. I also sought to make it simple for others to remix and enhance, inviting anyone to add their own unique elements to Jimbo. Feel free to modify him as you see fit – I'll undoubtedly add some armaments in the future. The parts are precision-engineered press-fit beveled octagonal pegs and circular holes, resulting in a remarkably secure fit. The 10mm diameter holes match perfectly with the corresponding pegs (located between opposing vertices). The pegs were intentionally designed to be challenging to insert into the holes, requiring a bit of force to assemble. I used a hammer to successfully put mine together. Jimbo stands approximately 7 inches tall when fully assembled. Here's a breakdown of the individual parts: • Chest: 1 piece • Hips: 1 piece • Head: 1 piece • Foot: 2 pieces • Hand: 2 pieces • Shoulder/Hip Cap: 4 pieces • Limb Panel (Pegs): 4 pieces • Limb Panel (Holes): 8 pieces All parts print without support, except for the chest and hips. If you decide to print or remix Jimbo, please share your photos!
