Jib arm rest support

Designing a reliable support for the Proaim DVC 500 camera jib required extra stability while mounting the pan-tilt head, securing the camera, attaching cables, making necessary adjustments, and ensuring overall reliability. Often relying on makeshift supports like a chair's backrest or a table was insufficient when neither was available, so I developed a U-shaped support that snugly fits onto standard lighting stands equipped with a 1/4 inch thread. The unique U-shape was precision crafted using Sketchup, subsequently exported in .stl format and accurately printed on my K8200 3D printer. To achieve the required threading, a trusty handtap tool was employed to precision-fit a 1/4-20 tread onto this support system.
