JGAurora / JGMaker Magic 3d Replacement Fan Shroud
thingiverse
This is a replacement fan shroud/air duct designed specifically for the 3D magic printer. It delivers solid results with a precise fit. Although it slightly reduces the directional airflow area compared to the stock air opening, it provides faster air circulation overall. There's approximately two millimeters of clearance surrounding the hotend for both nozzles. The design could be optimized further, and there are still about 2mm available under where the current air jets exit. However, I deliberately avoided placing plastic near the nozzle to allow adjustments for the heat break and nozzle if necessary. Bridge tests have been conducted using both default settings and my custom design. At worst, it performs identically to the stock version. To visualize airflow patterns without relying on smoke, try using a bowl of water and pepper to test where the air jets strike. This method is a handy alternative for those who prefer not to use smoke. Version 4 features an extended fan duct designed for the stock fan, while Version 6 has a shorter configuration to reduce the force required for fitting into the extruder casing. Both designs should otherwise function identically.
