My jgaurora A5 arrived with broken Z couplers, making it impossible to use the printer right away. However, I managed to repair them so that I could start printing immediately. After several days of non-stop printing, my makeshift fix appears to be a permanent solution. The original 8mm nut was too large to fit through the stepper motor mount, which presented a significant challenge. To overcome this issue, I modified it by rounding off its edges, allowing it to pass through the hole with ease. Despite this modification, the nut can still be tightened using pliers. To further improve the design, I added a hexagonal section in the center piece, enabling each nut to be tightened or loosened independently. Additionally, I created a flat spot on the 5mm side of the coupler to prevent the stepper motor shaft from spinning out of control.
