Items you will need: Infrared sensor - https://miscsolutions.wordpress.com/mini-height-sensor-board/ 3 wire servo extension lead (2 x 1m in length) Files included: Mount STL Front cover To modify your machine, update the main board's firmware using the Arduino IDE software. There are many YouTube videos available that show you how to do this; simply search for "update Marlin via Arduino IDE." You will need to open your machine and feed the 3 wire connector around it. The sensor uses the Z minimum endstop connector, so just unplug the current one. The current z endstop needs to be removed; unscrew it from the side frame and hide it below. You can always go back if needed. I have already configured the firmware to use this sensor, so you will only need to flash it. I have enabled EEPROM on the board, allowing you to save bed levels. However, it is recommended that you level your machine at the start of every print for safety's sake. To level your machine, add some gcode lines to your start gcode script. There should be a tab/section in your software where you can add these lines: Add these AFTER the G28 (Home) command. M851 Z-1.0; Z Offset M500; Save to EEPROM G28; Home G29; Level bed etc... The Z offset can be set above; for example, Z-1.0 equals 1mm. If you want to lower the head, simply change the value. You do not need to update the TFT firmware, as it does not support Z offset setting. The cover simply slides down onto the mount. It did not look very nice without it.
