JGAURORA A5 Fan Converter (30mm to 40mm)
myminifactory
So another user on Thingiverse by the name of GoZille made one of these fans, but it appears to be for a different generation due to the fan mounting looking slightly different on mine. See this link for his upload: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2893964 So because his design wouldn't work with my printer, I decided to take his idea and run with it. This is what I came up with. The converter mounts to the original fan mount by removing the fan and drilling out holes that are big enough for the stock fan screws to fit. Then simply slide the fan converter over the bracket and screw in from behind. You will have to remove the original fan screws from the heat sync, but I haven't seen any issues with doing this. Be warned that the screw holes on the converter are a little off from the original holes on the bracket, but they will thread with a little love. I do plan to change this part converter up a little and fix the screw hole tolerances, but this works for now so I figured I'd upload it. The 12V Noctua fan I used can be found here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009NQLT0M/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 There's no need to buy the 5V or 24V and have to put a stepper in place. Lastly, I haven't come up with another way to mount the fan besides zip ties. So I included some holes in the part for small zip ties to fit through. But again they are off a little, so I put the ties in first then stick the fan in. This can also be found on Thingiverse here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2942031
