JGaurora A5 E3D V6 remix for banggood extruder
thingiverse
So I messed up big time, thinking I had ordered an E3D V6 clone but it turns out I got one of these 1.75mm/3mm J-Head Hotend Extruder For 3D Printer Extruder Reprap Prusa Mendel Kossel 3D Printer & Supplies from Electronics on banggood.com https://banggood.app.link/dcMOZybw21. They're huge, measuring 25mm in diameter and longer than I expected, so I remixed the design to fit (fingers crossed). I broke down the filament cooler mount into three separate pieces, allowing me to adjust the height by tweaking the middle section in my slicer and reprinting or adding a shim if needed. These parts bolt together with two 3mm bolts. To accommodate the massive heatsink, I also modified the cooling duct for the extruder. I had to file a flat spot on the cooling fins so the J-head mount would fit. Later, I decided to go in a different direction with the parts cooling and opted for a modified Blowhard 3000 by DaHai8, giving me better visibility of what's being printed. I've included both modded designs for your reference.
