This part cooling solution is intended to be used with one of my print head designs for the JGAurora A5:

E3D V6/Revo Six Hotend with Zesty Nimble Remote Direct Extruder V1.2

E3D V6/Revo Six Hotend with The Orbiter v1.5 140g Dual Drive Direct Extruder (not yet published)

This is my first attempt on a fan duct with assistance of CFD-simulation (provided by simscale). There is some room for improvement but overall the part cooling is quite OK in most cases.

I printed my first prototype in PLA, which is still in use after over a year now. A slight warping on one of the air-ducts was easily fixable with the careful use of a hot-air fan. Nevertheless, printing in material with more thermal stability is advised. Print with supports.

Mounting Variants

JG Aurora A5 printhead with E3D V6/Revo Six Hotend and either bowden or Zesty Nimble extruder

FanStrutL-JGA5v6

FanStrutR-JGA5v6

LowerFanBracket-JGA5v6

E3D V6/Revo Six Hotend with The Orbiter v1.5 140g Dual Drive Direct Extruder (not yet published)

t.b.d.

Additional Parts

2x M3x6x4.2-3.6 threaded insert

4x M3x8 hexagon socket head cap screw

1x M3x40 hexagon socket head cap screw

1x M3 locking nut
