JG AURORA Z-603S - X STEPPER FAN__V 2.0 (UPDATED 2021.09.06) This mod is especially needed if you decided to "close" your Z-603S. JG AURORA's steppers have always run very hot under normal operating conditions. Once added windows to the frame, X & Y steppers get even hotter. I have measured up to 70-80 °C depending on the printing speed. With this mod, the operating temperature of the X-stepper drops quite a bit. I've been measuring 50-55 ºC on my Z-603S. These values may vary depending on ambient temperature (summer/winter). For this mod you will need: 1 x Fan 40x40x10 - 24v. I connected mine directly to the power supply 4 x Screws M3 - 15 mm to fix the fan (you can use cable ties if you prefer) 4 x Screws M3 - 20 mm 2 x Screws M3 - 30 mm 8 x M3 locking nuts 10 x Washers 4 x Servo screws (short) to fix the fan plate. Length around 8 mm. If you don't find them, use screws for wood with a round head and add a small washer. First glue Bracket and Support (L & R) by applying AC/glue (or acetone if you printed ABS). Once done this, you can refit the holes in the 'Reinformcements' (REINF_L/R.stl) with a 1,00 mm drill bit. The only thing left is putting the cable through cable hose. Mounting the fan support is now easier. If you are a "heavy" printer and leave your machine running for hours, you shouldn't wait to long to add this to your X stepper.
