Have in mind that you are adding a MOD to your printer which has not been tested by the manufacturer and which is likely to affect the future behaviour of your machine. So … you do this at your own risk! Under normal circumstances the X, Y and E0 steppers run hot. I presume they will get even hotter after closing both sides of the printer. This is clearly a CON, so keep an eye on this. Monitor temperatures and compare them with the values provided by the technical specifications/data sheet of the used steppers mod. Fans should be fitted to these steppers (and heatsinks … the X-Stepper will be a nut to crack). - - - UPDATE 2021.09.04: I've been monitoring temperatures and the X-stepper runs really hot, reaching up to 70-75ºC. Adding a fan will bring it down to safer 50-55ºC (no heatsink used so far). Mounting this fan support is still a bit fiddly, but I will mature the design to make the installation more convenient Find it here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4949038 - - - Always have in mind what materials you will print with after. In addition, I would recommend not to print the frames in PLA. Better use ABS or PETG as they can withstand higher temperatures inside the chamber without deformation. Enjoy! O.
