JG Aurora A5 Cooling Duct (Modified from BlowHard 3000)
thingiverse
This is a custom-made ventilation duct based on the innovative work of BlowHard 300. Check out the original design at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2757866. Update 12 Nov 2018 (v2): * I've swapped the traditional two screw holes for an adjustable two-hole inline system, allowing you to fine-tune the piece's height. * A 0.6mm cut has been added to the bottom of the duct to bring it closer to the hot base. * The subjection wall has been increased by 3mm. First Version (v1): The initial design featured two screw holes for attaching the piece to the extruder disipator. This custom ventilation duct is specifically designed to replace the standard cool duct on the JG Aurora A5 printer. It's been modified to fit a 40x40 fan, which requires a screw of varying length (10mm works well) to secure it properly. To attach this part to the melter, you'll need to remove the protective plate and the original turbine fan. The turbine fan is secured with two 2mm metric screws that are longer than those holding the plate, and they also serve as a mounting point for this duct. The holes are strategically placed below the melter, but feel free to adjust their position using the attached SolidWorks file. One of the key advantages I aimed to contribute is the division of the ventilation area into three distinct zones. By splitting the circumference of the fan into three identical sections and routing each one to a separate air vent, we can ensure that each zone provides approximately equal airflow.
