This attachment is mounted at the rear of the print carriage, allowing for manual alignment of the print bed relative to the carriage. A layer of duct tape fills the space left open to enable smooth sliding on and off. It's only used during manual tramming, as it would interfere with automatic operations otherwise. Noting significant variation in the stock print bed, I plan to upgrade to glass for improved consistency. For this experiment, an inexpensive dial is being used since its primary purpose was initially just a test. Additionally, Octopi software controls the manual motion, ensuring my pushing doesn't affect the measurement. I hope others find this setup helpful.
