JG Aurora A3 Filament guide
thingiverse
I customized a member's filament holder to fit the A3 and achieved decent results, but despite fine-tuning my printer, minor inconsistencies persisted. After investigation, I discovered that the spool was being jerked during fast travel or at the end of the bed, causing issues. Researching large format printers revealed tubing running from the spool entry to the direct drive extruder, known as reverse bowden. I designed this in Tinkercad (https://tinkercad.com/things/ltjbhRIq9jZ) and invite you to download and modify it - I called it V6 after six attempts at getting it right. This design clips securely to the top and snaps around the back of the bottom upper frame rail, allowing for flexibility when switching between spools. I aimed for this setup so that the filament holder could be easily moved depending on the spool in use. Print Settings: Printer: JG Aurora A3 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 20% Notes: I printed this part in PETG as I sometimes enclose the printer to print ABS, and some parts have cracked or deformed due to high temperatures within the enclosure. I'm unsure if size or dimensions will change when printing with different filament types. How I Designed This: Designed in Tinkercad
