Can't afford to buy your sweetheart jewelry because you spent all your money on filament? Fear not! Making this jewelry carousel should help keep you out of trouble…this time.Modular design. Customize to fit your needs and your printer size. All parts should be interchangeable. Files include:Bases (180mm & 210mm)Trays. three types one with hooks only for bracelets, necklaces, hook or hoop earrings, another with an additional ring that can hold either post or hook earrings and one that has no hooks. 160mm, 180mm, 200mm, 220mm, 250mm.Risers/extensions. One that can be used with an optional 608 bearing in the base. This seems to spin fine with or without the bearing if your tolerances are OK. Others available in various lengths that can be stacked using a coupler ring.Stackable ring holderFinial can be used as a turning knobTips/SuggestionsWhen printing the base consider:  Increasing mass at the bottom of the carousel to enhance stability, by either increasing infill percentage (say 25-30%), or print with a much lower infill percentage (eg, 10% grid) particularly if you are printing this as a tower. Then temporarily pause print and add ballast (e.g. sand) to the infill spaces. I used cherry stone (quartzite poultry grit). Be sure ballast is kept below the current printing layer height. Your nozzle will thank you.Supports not mandatory. I found using them (tree-auto) on risers, finial and ring holder cleaned up the overhangs and were easy to remove. Don't use on trays that have holes for post earrings or block supports for the holes.Do a test print of a riser and a coupler. Adjust coupler size in slicer if too tight or too loose.Be sure elephant foot compensation is on to reduce any post-printing processing. May need to clean up hole edges with deburring tool or sandpaper, or on the risers, sandpaper.I think bases and trays look great printed with fuzzy skin on contours (not holes); reduces rendering artifacts and layer lines. Don't use fuzzy on risers, couplings, finial or ring holder unless you are adept at altering the layers where fuzzy will or will not print.Models in photos were printed with Polymaker PolyTerra® PLA Marble White.
