NOTICE: Things are now live on my own website. You can download the latest version here: http://www.bumpdesign.fr/3d-print-stuffs/#jewel_tree -------------------------------------------------------- You can create this project with a laser cutter or CNC machine. Be mindful of any internal corners, as they may not fit due to the size of your CNC bit. To overcome this issue, use "dogbones" chamfers (or corners) to make it work. A file named _dogbones is available, which includes the internal corner already done. This can save you time and effort, especially if you're using software that allows for easy corner modification. My CNC machine is a 3020, so I recommend building the tree in this size (300mm x 200mm). However, I strongly advise using a laser cutter for more efficient results. Wood thickness: 5mm Glue is not necessary, but you can use it if desired. This project was built without glue, and it turned out well. I created this gift for my girlfriend to help her forget about the CNC machine I purchased. Now that she's my wife, I'm glad I made a good impression!
