Jewel is a miniature horse standing at an impressive 8.2hh height. She was part of a significant case involving multiple horses who were rescued by World Horse Welfare and taken to Belwade Farm, their Rescue and Rehoming Centre in Aberdeenshire. Jewel's caregivers worked diligently to overcome her initial shyness around humans. The design theme of Queen and Country ties in perfectly with the 200th anniversary celebrations of Queen Victoria's birth. Jewel was part of World Horse Welfare's Windsor Borough Trail in Chelsea between April and August. The master sculpture itself was created by acclaimed artist Judy Boyt based on the true story of Lucas, a frozen and abandoned foal who was rescued by World Horse Welfare and has grown into a stunning sport horse. Artist: Alan Titchmarsh MBE DL with Rob Williams Sponsor: HPower
