Jetpack technology serves diverse sectors including aviation and sports; additionally, it is employed for recognition and rescue operations. The devices, often worn on one's back, gain lift through jets of escaping gases (or in certain cases, water), thereby enabling a single user to soar or fly. Various nomenclature such as rocket belt and rocket pack are synonymous with these apparatuses.
