JetBoat cover with locking, NQD Tear Into
thingiverse
After dealing with water flooding my boat repeatedly, I created these parts for my NQD Tear Into Jet Boat. The design includes a 2mm plexiglass component featuring six locks to ensure a secure seal. To make the process easier, I designed two wrenches - the first one was basic, but it proved uncomfortable to use, so I also came up with a second version that's more practical. You only need to print one of them. The seal is a low-cost window seal that can be found in most hardware stores or on Amazon: https://www.amazon.de/Anti-Kollision-Selbstklebendes-Schalldämmung-Weatherstrip-wasserdichtes/dp/B075P43RT7/ref=pd_sbs_60_21?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B075P43RT7&pd_rd_r=0956240d-5e11e9-8997-e18f44a51c10&pd_rd_w=H5jzx&pd_rd_wg=OwVqF&pf_rd_p=74d946ea-18de-4443-bed6-d8837f922070&pf_rd_r=J6KBYY3VCJ6YF5MNMH76&psc=1&refRID=J6KBYY3VCJ6YF5MNMH76 The screws used are tapping screws from an old RC car, a great example of recycling. I printed the parts with 100% infill after experiencing issues with "turned-parts" breaking in the past.
