Jet Pump for RC boat
thingiverse
I will publish servo mounts for the NQD jet boat after the winter break. This pump was originally designed for the NQD jet boat but is suitable for other shallow-angled bottom boats too. The improved pump is approximately twice as large as the original one that came with the boat, so component placement needs to be done carefully. To use this pump in conjunction with the included file for the reverse bucket, you will need a second servo and a lightweight spring wire (about 1-2mm landing gear wire works fine). This pump was designed specifically to work with the Velineon V3m system but may also work with any 380 size brushless motors that have the same hole configuration. One thing to note is that this system requires a 1/8th inch rod as the drive rod. Print Settings: Printrbot's Simple Black printer can print this pump and other parts with ease, regardless of whether you use rafts or not. If supports are necessary, they should be used, and you can choose to have the print resolution set to .1mm. You can also select an infill density between 40-100% for your prints. Notes: Please note that the impeller, jet director, and reverse bucket were designed with a scaling factor of 1.2 in mind since they were initially meant to be printed without the pump's release. To print the reverse bucket properly, you'll need to flip it by 197° and set the overhang threshold to 55°; cleaning up this part can be quite tricky. For all other parts, however, you can use an overhang threshold of 0° and support as needed. It has been printed at 80mm/s with no issues whatsoever.
