thingiverse
This model was motivated by the sleek lines of an F-18 Hornet jet engine's design. Its primary goal is to look awesome. A turnable intake propeller and a mounting slot for a switch are add-on options available. Print Options Rafts: Any preference won't matter at all. Supports: Ignore this setting as well. Notes: Consider printing it with red filament and give it a sleek finish by spray painting it afterward to create an impressive glow effect. The top section might need support depending on the capabilities of your 3D printer's bridging ability. Post-Printing Setup Connect two bright LEDs (opting for yellow, orange or warm white will work best), a 330 Ohm resistor and a 9 V battery in series. To securely mount the LEDs, you can utilize 1x_JetEngineLamp_5mmLEDHolder.stl. Materials Needed: 2x M3 x30 1x M3 x35 3x M3 Nuts (allen key screws) to combine the two sections of the model. Also required are some self-tapping screws (3.1 x10 mm or similar) for securely fastening the LEDs in place. Basic Wiring Assembly Reference Optional Switch Dimensions As an alternative, you can opt to use 1x_JetEngineLamp_5mmLEDHolder.stl instead of assembling a custom circuit board.
