This is the cutaway model of Propeller Governor (Constant Speed Unit) for Turboprop Engine. There are several types of Propeller Governors and this is one of the simple Hydraulic Types. This model was designed to make it easy to understand basic Governor Functions. A. Design points: 1. Flyweight Function vs rotation speed, explained in detail. 2. Hydraulic Passages (Colored) control valve position relation, including Dummy Relief Valve and Feathering Valve attachments. 3. Speed Control Lever, Rack and Pinion type, designed for smooth operation. 4. In the future, a Rotation Tool will be added to make it easier to use by hand. B. Assembly Manual (PDF format, total 10 pages) The assembly manual includes Parts-List, After printing treatment, and Assembly procedure, all based on Standard Skill levels including Filing, Drilling, Tapping, and painting. C. Download files include: - STL Files: 26 items, with "ws" of last 2 digits meaning With Support, a special design. - Assembly Manual: Zipped PDF file D. Purchase Parts Information Bearing - Ball Bearing 6804 (20x32x7) is used for smooth rotation (2 ea). Spring: 1.8x35x20x5 turns is used, similar size can be substituted. Screws: M2, M3 and M5 - see Assembly-Manual E. Total Net Print Time: Approximately 48 hours Estimated as case of PLA, 0.4mm Nozzle, 0.2mm Layer Height, 40% infill and no raft or support. PG-Valve-Body201ws.stl needs about 12 hours to print. F. 3D printing settings: Raft, Support, Layer Height, Infill: adjustable according to your experience. My models were printed by "idbox" using a 0.4 nozzle and 1.75 PLA.
