I have created a detailed model of approximately ten different types of jet engines. The fundamental components were simplified due to size constraints imposed by my 3D printer. I then proceeded to expand each component and create the actual model that provides a clear explanation of its structure. This time, it's the "Axial Turbine" model. The following explainable elements have been incorporated: (1) Nozzle Guide Vane Segmented, Air Cooled (2) Blade Featuring the unique design of the "Christmas (fir) Tree Root" and outer/inner shrouds held together by rivets. (3) Disk Equipped with labyrinth air seals and a drive flange. (4) Turbine Case Having an internal cooling cavity and honeycomb-type seal. (5) Turbine Case Cooling Duct (Active Clearance Control = ACC) Featuring the partial duct only (6) Assembly Jig The structural interrelationship of these elements is accurately reproduced. Purchase parts information: - AL Pipe φ3 dia. for Blade Retainers - See Photo - Screws Screws and nuts in M2, M3, and M4 sizes are required - See Photo Assembly points: Standard skills such as drilling, tapping, filing, tightening, painting, and gluing are necessary, along with perseverance. Total net print time: Approximately 30 hours - Estimated based on the case of PLA, a 0.4mm nozzle, 0.2mm layer height, 40% infill, and no raft or support. Note: When printing in reality, each parameter can be adjusted according to your experience. 3D printing settings: Raft, Support, Layer Height, Infill: Adjust according to your experience. My models were printed using the "idbox" with a 0.4 nozzle and 1.75 PLA. I hope you enjoy creating these models!
