There are several types of axial compressor rotors (Disk and Blade). I previously created the dovetail type disk and blade assembly as part of the axial compressor VIGV and Stator set. The circumferential dovetail slot type rotor is used in the rear stages of HP compressors on recent engines. This method allows blades to be installed using an allen wrench only, making it ideal for "Drum Type Disk" assemblies. A partial model is provided to learn how to assemble blades and locks into the disk. The included parts are: (1) A disk with a circumferential dovetail groove (2) Blades with circumferential dovetail - 3 types, totaling 6 blades (3) Locks - 2 each (4) Internal Hex head screws - 2 each (5) Assembly stands and blade stops Download files include STL Files (7 items), with "ws" of the last two digits indicating a file designed with support. Purchase parts information includes: Screws: - Internal Hex head (Stop Screw) - 3mm x 10mm - 2 each - M2x8 screws - 2 each (Tool) Assembly points require standard skills such as drilling, tapping, filing, and tightening. Detailed assembly procedures are shown in the "Photo-Book01.pdf" file. Total net print time is approximately 12 hours, estimated for PLA material with a 0.4mm nozzle, 0.2mm layer height, and 40% infill with no raft or support.
