Meet Brother Mathew, a life-size wooden figure expertly carved from a single tree trunk with a chainsaw. He stands proudly at Jervaulx Abbey in the picturesque North Yorkshire Dales National Park, UK. The surrounding landscape is a serene blend of rolling hills and verdant valleys. As I snapped 108 photos with my trusty Sony RX100 M3 camera, set to capture stunning 4k RAW images, Brother Mathew became an unlikely friend to the local birdlife. A fleeting glance at the scene reveals birds swooping in for a closer look, as if drawn to his rustic charm. Exposure settings were carefully selected to capture the perfect moment: a shutter speed of 1/50th of a second, aperture wide open at f/8, and an ISO of 200. The resulting images are nothing short of breathtaking. Post-processing was handled by Agisoft Photoscan, a powerful software tool that expertly stitched together the individual frames to create a seamless panorama.
