Jerrold 601 Sweep Frequency Generator

Jerrold Models 601 and 602 were compact, wide-band sweep frequency generators for calibrating and fine-tuning RF circuits across a broad frequency spectrum spanning 4 to 225 megahertz in the 1960s. Model 601 functioned within the range of 12 to 225 me, while Model 602 operated over the range of 4 to 112 me. Each model divided its frequency coverage into 11 overlapping segments. Both units employed a push-pull Hartley oscillator driven by a saturable reactor and controlled by circuitry that maintained a consistent output level within 1 decibel across the entire sweep width.
