I designed a 3D printed shade that attaches to a 2" maple dowel cap, featuring a print consisting of both the shade and an insert housing for a mechanical screw connection into wood. The fixture utilizes a candelabra socket and bulb. I added a lens print for a shade insert, allowing for some horizontal light diffusion as an optional add-on. The lens snaps securely into the folds of the shade. The shade and insert received a bondo coating and sanding to smooth out any imperfections, followed by multiple layers of enamel paint for a durable matte powder-coated metal finish.
