Replacement for MOPAR 55037537AA is now available. This part will not fit Cherokee models from 1984 to 1996 but should fit all trim levels from 1997 to 2001. The part has been reinforced in areas prone to failure on original equipment manufacturer parts. Print the part perpendicular to the bed surface for optimal structure when in use. This method leverages the tensile strength of the filament, rather than relying solely on bond strength between layers. Infill levels over 50% can make the part too stiff and may cause cracking at 100% infill. Use a 3D-based pattern for infill to ensure maximum strength when printing perpendicular to the bedplate. A tri-hexagon pattern was used for test parts. Tree supports and a basic raft were utilized during the print process. The PLA prototype part has performed well since installation, withstanding in-vehicle temperatures between 55F and 85F without visible deformation or weakness. For optimal longevity, PETG and ABS are recommended over PLA.
