As an avid owner of a trio of rugged Jeep Wranglers from 1997, 1999, and 2001, I've had the luxury of replacing numerous broken parts on these trusty vehicles. One particularly troublesome component has been the OEM window latches, which feature a built-in spring that inevitably breaks down over time. Instead of investing in an entirely new set of windows, I opted to take matters into my own hands and craft my own custom latch. To ensure precision, I meticulously measured the dimensions of the original Jeep Wrangler window latches using a high-quality vernier caliper and some informed estimates. This meticulous approach allowed me to recreate each latch with exacting accuracy. After installing these bespoke latches on all four windows of my Jeep, I was thrilled to discover a significant improvement in their performance. Gone are the days when I had to constantly adjust the windows as they would inexplicably slide open while driving over rough terrain. The new latches have worked flawlessly, providing me with a much more pleasant and secure driving experience.
