Jeep Wrangler Light Mount
thingiverse
I mounted hazard flashing lights on my search and rescue jeep but needed a sturdy mount to hold them securely. The mounts I found fit the slim flashers perfectly from Amazon. -Ultra Slim 12-LED Surface Mount Grille Flashing Strobe Lights https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07F5DFTMY/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 You'll also need m3 and m4 bolts, as well as a random screw for the rear mount to attach it to the bumper plastic. There's an alignment piece that helps you position the lights correctly on the front wheel fenders, so you know where to drill the holes. The label on the alignment piece indicates which end should be inside the part if it were printed in its entirety. I printed the mounts at .2 mm resolution with a Raptor 3D printer from MakerGeek and found that the M4 threads held up very well for the mount to the jeep, while the M3 bolts worked perfectly for fastening the lights. If you use a different material, I would suggest printing an extra shell - probably three. During post-processing, I was out of black filament so I used gray instead and sprayed them with matte black spray paint. After installation, I applied sealant around the light housing edge and fittings to prevent water from entering and causing a short circuit. This is a common issue with LED kits, but taking precautions can help ensure they work properly.
