The Willys MB U.S. Army Jeep and Ford GPW were mass-produced from 1941 to 1945. These compact four-wheel drive utility vehicles are widely recognized as the quintessential World War II Jeeps, and their design has influenced many other lightweight utility vehicles. The iconic World War II Jeep eventually transformed into the "CJ" civilian Jeep, a model that continues to evolve into the modern-day Jeep Wrangler.
